OPKO Health is a healthcare company focusing on the commercialization and development of proprietary pharmaceuticals and instruments for the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmologic disorders. Although organic growth is of paramount interest to us, we will be opportunistic in acquiring operating businesses, particularly to expand into international markets. Our research will utilize both "low-tech" and "high-tech" approaches, but always to create useful, unique products. In the ophthalmologic field, in addition to therapeutics, we will also provide advanced instrumentation to diagnose eye disorders and to follow the course of therapy. This unit will develop new and important tools for imaging the different parts of the eye. |
